Tune in to A Dialogue with VOICE on Rollins WPRK 91.5 fm, Wednesday morning, 9am-10am. The topic will be The Health Benefit of Movement.

What effect does movement have on health? What type of movement and how much? What effect does movement have on Parkinson’s? What about Diabetes?

Professor Robin Wilson has worked extensively in dance. Her training includes expertise in the Limon technique through work with original member of the Jose Limon Company, Bill Hug; LUIGI (NYC); and the Alvin Ailey School (NYC). She co-teaches Dance for Parkinson’s Disease in coordination with the Parkinson Outreach Center at Florida Hospital and will speak of her experience on the benefit of movement for Parkinson’s patients.

Dr. Robert Sherry has directed and choreographed over 100 musicals, plays, industrial shows, and concert dance works in professional and academic settings. Along with teaching employment law in the Master of Human Resources (MHR) program at Rollins, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Parkinson’s Foundation (NPF) Central Florida Chapter. He too will expound upon the ways movement can help one live a healthier life.

Also, Erika Spence from the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce will stop by with information on events scheduled in Winter Park this Holiday Season.
